This inconspicuous booklet is the weekly magazine Zwierciadło, published by the Committee for Household Affairs, which is part of the Board of Directors of the Women's League of Warsaw. (“The League rules, the League advises, the League will never betray you” :)) This unique notebook (winter 1959) got an equally unique cover thanks to a great graphic designer, Zygmunt Sloniewski, and thanks to us (and you!) it now gets a second life. From Me and My House you will learn “where our money goes”, plan expenses for the coming months, discover the secrets of peas and beans, find out whether you should salt pork fat and lard (!), sew a New Year's Eve outfit for the ball, learn how to do gymnastics in the morning, choose a hat, remove stains, make a lampshade with your own hands... it is difficult to count the benefits that flow from this handbook under Polish thatches! If anyone still had doubts about who owns the house - the woman on the cover dispels them by holding a perfectly cleaned house in her cluttered hands. To the gentlemen, we say: wipe your shoes and admire!
